Although I have a horrible feeling this jumper will be so stretched I won’t be able to wear it next year sans bump 🫠

Happy Saturday everyone 🤗

I’m really having to slow down now so I’m always so happy to reach the weekend. I think having 2 days off work at the start of this week actually made the end of the week worse because I felt like I had to cram a lot in.

I’ve really enjoyed most of my pregnancy and I can’t complain too much because it’s been relatively straightforward but I’m reaching that fed up stage!

Baby is getting quite big (probably around 4lbs now!) and sitting really high which is making me breathless, I can’t walk very far or fast and the heartburn is fierce.

But I think the biggest challenge at the moment is knowing that even though I get a rest at the weekend, next week is likely to be even more physically and mentally demanding! 🫠

Anyway, we’re having family over this weekend which will be lovely and hopefully we won’t be seeing any more snow for a while now 🤗

Happy Sunday! 🌸

I have now officially entered my maternity dress era and I’m not sorry about it 😅 These two dresses from @newlook are so comfy and were great value considering I’ll only be wearing them for a limited time.

Baby is really growing now and my bump feels substantial! Next week I have another hospital trip coming up to get my iron transfusion and I’ve heard great things about the energy boost it gives you so I’m very excited 🤗

Happy Friday everyone! I’m so glad the sun is shining again after a miserable couple of days 😎

Here’s a sunny throwback to last weekend when we went to visit my brother who lives near the sea 🌊

Something I’ve noticed as I head towards the end of pregnancy is that I’m getting a lot more selfish. Not in a bad way, but in the sense of making sure I’m only spending my time and energy on things I really enjoy, both in my personal life and at work.

I think this is going to be a theme that has to continue as our little one joins us and we add childcare into the life mix!

And it’s a great reminder that we all have the ability to say no if we’re feeling burned out or overwhelmed 🤗 I really believe that looking after yourself is usually more important than avoiding letting people down.

Monday thoughts this week:

I can’t quite believe we’re already at 29 weeks and there’s a several pound human in there that will be making an appearance in a mere matter of months 😳

I absolutely love my changing body and the amazing things it’s doing during this phase BUT I also can’t wait to have it back to myself and wear normal clothes again 🤣

I am very much over winter now and desperate for it to warm up and for the clocks to change for those lighter mornings and evenings ⏰

I’m giving myself permission to slow down throughout the third trimester so I can look after myself properly ready to welcome the new arrival 🧘🏼‍♀️

It feels like there are neverending projects to do in the house but I’m enjoying the small bits of progress we’re making here and there 🏡

I’m actually feeling really confident and excited for the birth now after doing A LOT of research, a Hypnobirthing course and meditations nearly every day 💪🏻

You on Netflix is a truly excellent TV show and I am desperate for the second half of the season to come out in March so I can binge watch it all in a weekend 🫢

Heartburn sucks.
